Former Employee – worked at Western & Southern Financial full-time for less than a year
Pros – If you can stomach it, you get a free lunch each day.
Cons – Boy's club, forced to wear professional dress even though there is no contact with customers, fashion police watch to see if you're wearing inappropriate garb, health insurance is worthless, they penalize people that are overweight or smoke, the building is old with escalators, "Musac" in the lunch area. You really feel like you're working during the 1950-60's era, with all of the downfalls for women during that time. Very, very conservative approach to everything, if you have any liberal views, keep them to yourself or you'll be fired.
Advice to Senior Management – Get a grip, quit wasting your time being fashion police, come out of your cubicle when there is an issue that requires your attention. Treat women with respect and get rid of the old fashioned policy of making people wear dress shirts/ties or heels/hosiery. Really, you're not Don Draper.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
