I have been working at Western & Southern Financial full-time

    Pros

The cafeteria is free, serving breakfast and lunch. Many very nice people work there. They provide subsidized parking in downtown Cincinnati.

    Cons

W&SFG is a big company with big company issues. Things move slightly slower than a snails pace. There is a great deal of bureaucracy and politics. And never question a manager's decision. If you have an idea for improvement, keep it to yourself.

    Advice to Management

Good ideas can come from the worker bees, learn to listen. Lighten up on the dress code. Requiring women to wear closed toe shoes and pantyhose is old fashioned.

I worked at Western & Southern Financial full-time

    Pros

You have SOME control over your schedule

    Cons

Required 20 hours in office with no compensation. Expectations are 6 days a week 12 hours a day availability. Underwriting is far too hard to get done. Need to be already financially independent and / or have no family life to get started with this company.

    Advice to Management

Do some marketing for god's sake. Your only marketing materials go to existing customers? Wow. Your tennis tourney is awesome as a senior managers playground, but does nothing else for the company.
