I have been working at Western and Southern Life full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Can't think of many pros to be honest. You get a book of business to start with, no matter how awful it might be.

    Cons

Micromanagement at every level. Pitiful portfolio of products. Company has no sense of direction, wants to serve middle class Americans but doesn't have the products to back this up with. Way too many hours spent filling out paper work and training based on their "Quantum Leap" program, but little training on products and how to market them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out while you can. The ship is sinking and unless you've bought the illusion of having a middle class based clientele you can feel the boat going under.

I have been working at Western and Southern Life full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible job with the capabilities to take time off when needed and to take care of any family that might be needed

    Cons

Very little quality support from company and managers are forced to micromanage. You are forced to pay for any type of lead that you might need. The company is not sustainable for small communities and is quickly being beat out by companies that can offer similar products for less money.
