They paid very well for having just graduated undergrad, but they had some management issues

Engineer (Former Employee)
Pittsburgh, PA

I worked at Westinghouse full-time for more than a year

ProsSalary, flex-scheduling, some education reimbursement

ConsProjects seemed to always fall well behind schedule, and outrageous overtime was required when that happened. Additionally, the culture was dated, and business practices need substantial updates

Advice to Senior ManagementVery little attention is paid to the "business" aspects of the company. Though this should always play second-fiddle to quality engineering and safety, it should be given more importance than it currently receives

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Not what I was looking for, but it is a stable, consistent place to work

Systems Design Engineer (Former Employee)
Cranberry Twp, PA

I worked at Westinghouse full-time for more than a year

Pros: Flexible hours, a lot of young people, friendly atmosphere Cons: Bad system of reward - project engineers do nothing technical and are able to meet many goals, so their end of term reviews look better… More

Not a bad experience

Engineer (Former Employee)
Pittsburgh, PA

I worked at Westinghouse full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Autonomy given to each engineer. Cons: Boring work environment, i.e., the subject matter is doesn't get… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
