I worked at Wet Seal part-time (more than an year)

Pros

Great Atmosphere! Great Support from staff felt like a family ! The discount is unparalleled but for a male associate it does not really work well.

Cons

Managers like in any job play favoritism, little room for expansion, company is loosing money currently so shifts are usually 3-5 hours long if you are looking for something to live off of wet seal is not the place.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advance those that are the best and stop playing favoritism.

    Pros

40% discount and great sales, pay based on experience and easy job.
Everything in the store has its own section so its very easy to clean up and most jobs are self-explanatory.
Lots of employee contests - you can win gift cards, or a bonus on your paycheck based on sales.
Shifts are usually only 4 hours unless closing.

    Cons

Not really a con, but they started basing your hours on how much you sell. So make sure that you and whoever is working with you during your hours is doing their job and helping customers.
