Weyerhaeuser – “Weyerhaeuser: it's about trees.”
Pros
Weyerhaeuser employees have great technical expertise. In my experience, many leaders in the company do actually care about both employees and the company.
Cons
There is a serious lack of upward mobility. Although former CEO S.Rogel is no longer with the company, Weyerhaeuser will be years if not decades recovering from some of the extremely poor decisions he lead.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior Management needs to reconnect with "rank & file." Too many leaders are brand new to their roles & do not seem to be interested in learning the nuts & bolts that make the various businesses within the company sucesfull.
