No longer a family oriented company. Outsourcing and good-ol'boy system.

I worked at Whataburger full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There have to be some, but I cannot think of any since Mrs. Dobson passed...the company has become nonfamily oriented, more corporatist.

    Cons

The passing of Mrs. Dobson has allowed the more greedy portion of the family to take over. Wage reductions, indifference to employees and "family members" has become common place. Are you orange enough? The employees would be if they were not black and blue from the corporate drones.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember where the company started, family values and caring for employees. Mrs. Dobson is turning in her grave.

    Pros

This company promotes from within and this is great. This company has management that are great role models and that want to help you succeed.

    Cons

Every place has people that are just there to get a check. I worked with a member of management that did not care to train or help with aadvancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you are doing your interview look for thoses red flags so that you do not have someone in management that does not care.
