Pros

Great co-workers, work-life balance; easy commute; many opportunities to give back to the community; ability to go to school and work at the sametime (although educational reimbursement isn't the greatest)

Cons

Little communication; allows underperformers to stay too long; not accepting of change; slow to execute strategies/plans; managers and employees don't understand the performance strategy; success can be more dependent on relationships than actual performance

Advice to Senior Management

Communicate more openly with employees. Ensure that opportunities for advancement are truly fair (based on performance and not relationships). Be more open to creative ways employees approach problems. Try to be mjore decentralized.
