Fast paced environment, team environment, although worked too hard and spread too thin.

I worked at White Lodging full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good annual bonus
    Decent salary
    Decent insurance benefits

    Cons

    Insane work load for managers-
They expect you to get the best results in the market you are in but owners they havemanagement contracts with will not put money into very old hotels, making it next to impossible-
Senior level leadership is nothing but negative, only hear about the bad stuff, no positive-
To sum up the company culture in one word would be, arrogance. The entire corporate team is VERY ARROGANT-
Work for this company and you can count on a 65 hour work week (or more) to achieve even the minimal acceptable results-
Constant pointless conference calls and endless unecessary paperwork-
Managers HAVE to also recruit new managers for company or face write ups, so not only do you have a hotel property to manage but you also have to recruit people to be new managers for the rest of the company, isn't that what HR is suppose to do?-
I could go on and on, but you get the point-

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be there to help your managers not threaten them with write ups and terminations if they don't complete the never ending and ridiculous list of corporate initiatives on time. Let your managers manage, this is not as complicated of a business as you all want to make it.
