So far, it isn't bad but could definitely be better

Pros

Faster in promotions compared to corporate hotels

Cons

Some of the upper management people need more experience for themselves... don't understand how some of these managers got their positions when half of the time, they don't know what they are doing.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please promote those who actually know how to execute the job responsibilities, not because they are kissing other people's toes. It is unfair and unreasonable that the managers who got promoted don't have experience within their departments. If upper management fails, the rest of the team below them will fail.

    Pros

    Growth company, balanced achievement, bonus plan, strong processes, good hourly training, plenty of hotels to grow career, some great people

    Cons

    quality of life, growth and promotions are constantly waived in front of you but rarely come to fruition. Too many corporate initiatives that change too frequently

    Pros

    young company, for the right person would be a good time to get in on the ground floor

    Cons

    clear disconnect from above property management. they rarely even say hello. discrimination based on race, education level, and orientation is rampant. I've seen and heard managers talk about guests in earshot, and I've seen the way the above property managers talk down to housekeepers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    if you start taking care of your property level team, they'll hit more goals.
