Pros

opportunity for growth
Great team leadership
decent pay for the work load
Excellent Benefits
Good people to work with overall

Cons

Dealing with the sometimes incompetant upper management/leadership
Political feeling work environment
Work load can become overwhelming
Appearances can be deceiving

Advice to Management

Help train team leadership to move up. Offer advice and try not to be so politically oriented. There shouldn't be favorites in any level and just because you're friends with someone, doesn't mean they deserve a leadership position.

    Pros

Health insurance, PWA, Social life, a lot of nice and interesting co-workers. I made a lot of enduring friendships at this store. I miss these things

    Cons

Questionable management tactics, poor communication, inefficiency, reasonable concerns often ignored or immediate management in agreement but powerless to help. I often ran into selfish behavior under the guise of teamwork, often characteristic of efforts that catered up the ladder. More wolves in sheep's clothing than I would like. Out of touch with the said values of the company. However, this isn't the experience working in the Whole Body Dept or the Front End (registers). Prepared foods and produce in particular were sustained bad experiences.

    Advice to Management

Recognize efforts to improve and maintain at a grounded level rather than recognizing yes-men and whiners. Follow through. A written record should not have to be kept for you to fulfill simple agreements.

    Pros

    Benefits, Paid Time off. Medical.

    Cons

It used to be a company that cared more about their Core Values, but now just feels like any ol' corporation.

    Advice to Management

Go back to the core values. Pay attention to who you are promoting, sometimes they are picked ahead of time and aren't as smart as you think they are.
