Pros

It's cool to be part of good food and a company that does a good job giving back. There is allot of job security and the benefits are great. 20% discount on almost any products in the store, a great medical plan that can include dental and vision for $10 and $5 a month respectively.

Cons

Nothing out of the ordinary except we draw a very needy clientele. Think customer service at its worst. Not all of the customers are like this but it's disproportionate compared to other places I have worked.

Advice to Management

Hard to say. They do a good job. More in-touch then some other places.

Greenwashing and favoritism are the name of the game here.

    Pros

The pay and the benifits are slightly above average.

    Cons

Managment is rude, inappropriate, unapproachable, and consistent in applying policies. They do things the way they decide is right and making sweeping changes without once consulting store level Team Members who's entire work day will be disrupted. Most decisions are now being made entierly without environmental concerns being factored in, and with only the companies profit being considered. It is impossable for a public company to not take profit as it's number one concern, however Whole Foods portrays itself as a "Green Giant" among grocary stores all the while taking part in the same practices that more traditional stores are villified for and charging 10x as much for the same items.

    Advice to Management

None they wouldn't take it from us anyway. .

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

When I started there, it was a great place to meet people like you (musicians, artists, etc.). Early on when the company was smaller, there was room to move up with minimal BS from management.

    Cons

Nepotism, favoritism, management incompetence and indifference. Profit overshadows everything. Not a good place to work if you are an independent thinker. Management used to be really arrogant when things were going well, now management just aholes looking to replace you. New blood coming into the company ruining it. People that start working there think it's paradise until they figure out it's just like any grocery store. Old timers are being forced out after years and years of service. People are placed in postions they have no business being in. I could go on, but I won't because it's boring.

    Advice to Management

You are in over your heads. It was great while it lasted. Senior management needs to be put out to pasture.
