It's a good feeling to be proud of where you work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Whole Foods Market full-time for more than a year

ProsGood benefits, positive environment, flexibility to come up with off-the-wall ideas and run with them. Environment supports creativity and innovation. Strong support of local products - always looking for ways to increase our local assortment and highlight the people behind them. High quality standards that set us apart from the competition.

ConsVarying levels of commitment and buy in within the store, hectic pace which isn't for everyone, onslaught of emails! Retail environment which means never ending marathon of sales, holidays, etc.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep John Mackey reined in - he has a way of making the rest of us look bad.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Mgmt unfair, promises not kept

Team Member (Former Employee)
Upper Arlington, OH

I worked at Whole Foods Market part-time for less than a year

Pros: Nice store, decent discount, some decent co-workers, paid breaks. Cons: Unfair promotion opportunities, conflicting stories b/t mgmt, mgmt does not address issues and when asked for clarification is dishonest, opportunity for advancement… Advice to Senior Management: Mgmt actually lied to me. Promised advancement numerous times but stories changed. Others hired after me put on fulltime, but not me.… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
