I have been working at Whole Foods Market part-time (more than an year)

Pros

$12/hr, Good benefits, Double pay on Holidays, Great culture and atmosphere, Up to 30% discounts for Team Members, Very transparent company.

Cons

Constant schedule changes on a weekly basis

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't do crazy stuff, like having your TMs close one night (11:30 PM) and then open the very next day (5:30 AM). We need at least 7 hours of sleep to function properly the next day. Thank you.

    Pros

Fun, intelligent atmosphere, lots of great opportunities to climb the ladder, become healthier, and even travel! And a great discount.

    Cons

Customers are the biggest pains, some are horrible people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The points system needs to go. Lots of excellent employees are fired over petty reasons, such as missed punches, or being late by less than 10 minutes. I understand if it's a chronic case, but letting points add up against hard workers is ridiculous.

I have been working at Whole Foods Market full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

good benefits, nice place to work, nice people

    Cons

one of their core values is team member happiness and excellence, but it didn't happen most of the time. they are the same big corporation that what they care about is money and how to increase their profit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your team member they are the heart and soul of your business and they are the one in the front row that helps this customer to come back to shop to your store. Also too much people in your leadership that suck all your money and time they are not helpful in times they are needed in the sales floor. Some of them just sit their ass infront of the computer and I don't know what they are doing. And please hire people that are competent in doing their job not just because they are good in interview but lack of knowledge in the position.
