I have been working at Whole Foods Market full-time (less than an year)

Pros

A company with actual values, 20% minimum discount, good people, really chill bosses, relaxed environment, one of the easiest companies to move up in, better pay than most other jobs that require similar experience

Cons

Ehhhh... working weekends kinda sucks sometimes, and occasionally you get stuck with a crappy customer, but this is all very on the fringe. Overall super happy

    Pros

Dental insurance! And vision and health.... especially the payment wellness account! It pays for things that are necessary for my health even if I don't have the money to spend.

    Cons

The customers. But some are good, you just have to ignore the pretentious ones and focus on the genuine good people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep rewarding team members.

I worked at Whole Foods Market part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Even part time people get awesome benefits, like the 401k plan, 20% off everything in the store, a chance to invest in their stocks, etc. The team leaders are very kind and understanding, and do everything they can to make sure that individual employees are happy.

    Cons

Upper management didn't seem to want to get to know the individual stores and the people running/working in them, which was disheartening and disappointing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would like to say that if upper management could be more involved with people that aren't as high up in the food chain at Whole Foods, then that would be great. It always seems as if upper management is aloof and doesn't know what's going on with individual stores and the employees working in them.
