Whole Foods – “Satisfaction Guaranteed”
2 of 2 people found this helpfulPros
Friendly environment
encouragement towards a healthy lifestyle
Bonuses and Benefits
management encourages and provides the tools necessary for success
available promotions from within
and the best thing I can say about Whole Foods: they're constantly implementing new ideas to reduce their carbon footprint, and promote organizations that support the common good for our environment. This is extremely admirable in our capitalist society.
Cons
constant competition with elite team members for promotions. Since the company only promotes "the best of the best", it gets tough to get promoted the closer you get to the top.
There aren't many technical jobs offered at Whole Foods, most jobs just require a high school diploma.
Advice to Senior Management
I personally would like to see Whole Foods involved in other areas aside from just groceries, like: exercise related, community service, expand the Whole Foods University web-site, sponsoring farmers markets within the realm of Whole Foods. In reality, I would like to see John Mackey's name attached to more ideas in the future, I think his ideas are inspiring for the future.
