I loved working at WITS Graphic Design as a student.

I worked at Willamette University

Pros

Gained valuable experience that got me a graphic design position almost immediately in a tough market, awesome boss

Cons

Just above minimum wage hourly pay and limited hours, so it would be really really hard to support yourself on this job alone.

Advice to Management

Never fire Chris Gramlich!

    Pros

There are so many people, students, faculty and staff that you can't NOT find people to commune with.

    Cons

Low pay for most employees, especially staff workers. Very few opportunities for advancement. Departments are very disorganized and wasteful with funding. HR is a disaster of loose ends that never get solved. The few good managers there are have their hands tied by HR to advance or remove good/bad employees.

    Advice to Management

Actually manage. Which means making difficult decisions, delegating, and supporting your employees. Sweeping things under the rug for someone else to deal with seems to be everyone's motto here. There is so much dissent between upper management and department leaders that anyone who reads their "all faculty" emails can hear it reverberating from every direction.

    Pros

Understanding of students' schedules and extracurricular commitments

    Cons

The student crowd is privileged for the most part

    Advice to Management
