I worked at Williams-Sonoma full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great product you can stand behind
Great teams in the stores
Great discount

Cons

Little to no training to sell high end products
Unrealistic workload
No longer the People First company they claim to be
Disconnect between reality in the stores and what upper management thinks/dreams
Out with the old in with the new

Advice to ManagementAdvice

So much unhappiness and discontent in the stores. Invest some $$ in your people and payroll. Do some undercover visits to see the reality in your stores (ala Undercover Boss) Or work in a store on a normal day and see what it is like

    Pros

Great, quality products, get to be immersed in cooking/entertaining space.

    Cons

Cross-functional teams need to communicate/collaborate more, many silos exist, lacking in opportunities to move into different roles or for promotions.
