    Pros

Windstreams salary was comparable to other places in the area. Windstreams benefits were comparable to other places in the area.

    Cons

Only promoted those who brown nosed upper management. They have a college grad program that promises them management jobs within a 2-5 year period. I saw a guy go from college grad, to accountant I, II, Sr. then manager in about 2 years. Yes he was smart, but he skipped a lot of people in that time, even a supervisor with a master's degree who had trained him.

    Advice to Management

The college program is great, however, it makes the other employees feel left out. Having a career goals for each employee and recognizing what positions employees want to be in and not just a "we're sticking you here" attitude, would make employees appreciate the company.

For being a communications leader, sometimes they (as in upper management) fell short communicating issues to lower level employees.
