    Pros

Benefits 401k, life, vacation, weekly pay. Chance for promotions from within. Company paid parties on holidays. Management cares about employees safety

    Cons

Management tries to get student to move up instead of going to school to learn a real skill. This is a job to pay certain bill while in school. It is NOT a viable career choice.

    Pros

Easy job to get in to. Flexible hours. Good co-workers and customer base (depending on where you work at, of course).

    Cons

Hours being cut store-wide to unrealistic levels while customer service is seriously being affected. Upper management too timid to stand up to their bosses. Full-time workers being cut down to part-time. All benefits and perks being taken away. Pay raises being taken away. Vacation pay being taken away. Winn-Dixie is a shell of what it used to be and is continuing to decline as far as employee morale, store conditions and customer service are concerned. The company is now making money hand over fist, but all money goes to the back pocket of the evil CEO. Winn-Dixie is becoming like Bi~Lo, which is one of the worst supermarket chains in the entire nation.

    Advice to Management

Speak up against the willful destruction of your own company by telling leaders above you how bad the situation is becoming in our stores. The new CEO has never worked a day in retail in his life. He got his fortune from his deceased father, so he has no clue how to run a grocery retail industry, and it shows. Things can change even with an out-of-control billionaire in charge, but enough store managers and district managers have to stop being such cowards when it comes to explaining basic retail knowledge to an inept and heartless company president.
