Pros

The people are terrific if you can take upper management out of the mix. Don't get me wrong, a few of the partners were wonderful, but on a whole, I wouldn't want to work for them.

Cons

Compensation is not great and moving up in the company can sometimes require a lot of extra work in order for you to be rewarded.

    Pros

Company leadership seems committed to making Wipfli the kind of place you never want to leave. Work environment and culture are friendly, if subdued.

    Cons

Company is trying to grow quickly - which often means changing course midstream. Which means that the strategies and projects a marketer might be working on could suddenly be cut. Not good. Also, the company makes you sign a contract saying you'll work 46 hours or more per week. This may be OK for CPAs, but not for marketers and other folks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to retain employees, I would suggest ending the 46-hour workweek requirement and moving away from the high-deductible health plans.

    Pros

Steady work, few layoffs, interesting clients

    Cons

It is a partnership where every one of the 100+ partners thnik they have decision making authority. Top management is ieperienced and weak, especially the managing partner.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the managing partner. He is leading the company down.
