Current Employee - Technical Lead in Chennai (India)
Current Employee - Technical Lead in Chennai (India)

    Pros

Support for working in various technologies - lateral movement within the company possible. Onsite opportunities are more. HR support is solid. Management is OK and depends upon project to project. Good employee support systems - ombudsman, employee query portal etc.

    Cons

Remuneration is very poor. Onsite employees do not get proper hike in offshore and thereby their CTC is very low when they return back. Too many internal certifications linked to promotions and onsite opportunities. Management plays trick when the employees ask for performance hike. Benefits are very less. Very slow decision making over employee issues. No proper pantries. Dont recognise/look after their senior staff but recruit laterals at exorbitant salaries. Simply stupid HR policy.

    Advice to Management

In the name of trimming down the workforce by whatever name (LEAN/BULG ratio), you will lose your experienced people and thereby compromising on quality. So the clients wait to chuck out the existing projects when it comes to churn phase and will move them to your competitors who gain with these stupid management policies.
