I have been working at Wolters Kluwer full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Great benefits and compensation, wonderful people who work together to help each other, overall a happy place to go.

Cons

To upper management you're just a number. Some of the lower level managers use counterproductive tactics to try to drive results.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up on the training process you outlined, don't just let it fall by the wayside.

I worked at Wolters Kluwer full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

They used to be a great company but that is all over now. They have a great portfolio of products but they have no capacity to innovate.

    Cons

Another example of a company that was once awesome and corporate greed destroyed it. They have always had a model of buy vs. innovate . Unfortunately the jig is over. They say they care about their customers but really they only care about milking them for every dime they can get. Same holds true with the employees. Another wall street greed casualty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Intimidation and Fear is not a talent. Yes you can milk your customer out of 10% more next year but in the long run you are only killing the very thing that made you great.

I worked at Wolters Kluwer full-time

    Pros

Some really great people work here with a deep passion for and knowledge of the Tax & Accounting Industry. Some innovative products have been brought to market in that past that have really impacted the industry.

    Cons

Business can't execute on a strategy well and keeps reorganizing hoping that it magically fixes things. What innovation that does happen is accomplished by throwing darts at a dart board. Some good people have moved on frustrated with the lack of focus and keeping true to the priorities that matter.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

new leadership here is untrustworthy, disconnected and really ignorant of the industry they are now trying to lead
