Great way to build your resume, but don't look to retire here.

I have been working at Wolters Kluwer full-time

Pros

Great benefits. I really appreciate being able to have a full month of paid-time off.

Cons

Lousy fore planning in any new project. Treatment of employees at the first level is pretty horrendous.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are not entitled to your employees. They are people. Treat them as such.

I have been working at Wolters Kluwer full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, industry leader in tax and accounting software and research

    Cons

High degree of focus on cutting costs rather then investing for growth. Departing co-workers are not replaced; the remaining staff is expected to pick up the extra work. Expect to work you life away if you find yourself in the wrong bucket. Smaill raise pool.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace critical employees when they leave.

I have been working at Wolters Kluwer full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Flexibility--you can work remotely
Paid Time Off--you get four weeks

    Cons

    Strategy--it's all over the place
Overload--company is extremely frugal (always trying to enhance profit) and so many of us are doing the job of 2 to 3 people. While I like to work hard, it's becoming increasingly overwhelmingly and difficult to manage.
Work/Life balance--within the past year or two the line has been crossed. Everyone is expected to be available all of time.
Executive mgmt--Always off trying to grasp the next shiny object instead of really focusing on what we have. This in turn means no investment in employees and less and less in products.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on what you have, not what you don't have.

    Disapproves of CEO
