I have been working at Wolters Kluwer full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good products and good effort to make changes to products that need attention.
Decent work balance to personal life.

    Cons

New regime in the US from outside the industry and are very clickish with a select few, do not get in the field to learn product, process or understand customer needs or current personnel. Very opaque management style.
Hiring new sales management from outside company and industry that have zero knowledge or transferable skills to offer sales teams.

I have been working at Wolters Kluwer full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

There are some great people working at CCH, they have some of the best PTO around, they start medical coverage on day one.

    Cons

The people working in the trenches don't have a voice. The keep and promote only silo builders and yes men. They have a habit of promoting the most sexist pigs in the company (even with the new management). Pay seems to be based on favor rather than ability or potential.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recent changes in the right direction stopped short by keeping 2/3rd's of the unholy trinity and it looks like they are going to keep the biggest silo builder on board. They also promoted one of the most sarcastic, sexist people in the place. The new management had a chance to really build rapport with the workers but chose to come off as bullies instead. Why not stop all this remote executive business and put someone real in place to find out what is really going on! We all realize you are just the hatchet group but you could at least try fixing the problems instead of changing the symptoms!
