I have been working at Wonderware

Pros

Wonderware can be a open type of environment. Food is provided (in some capacity), drinks, snacks. The company promotes a very touchy feely environment, yet once you are there for awhile you realize that is not true. The Benefit package is good.

Cons

Management is incompetent at best. The person who caused the most problems in the Training department was promoted to Manager and she has been there now for years even though upper-management is dissatisfied with her. Her lack of respect for the people who work in the department is massive, yet she and others are still working at Wonderware/Invensys and will probably protect themselves enough to keep their jobs.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open your eyes and speak to employees. There are a few bad apples in management and they could be picked out of the barrell and thrown away.

    I worked at Wonderware

    Pros

Good place for a temporary position of less than one year. Management allows for flexible days and hours. Lunch hours are flexible. Nothing else good about this place.

    Cons

Poor training. No advancement at all. Expect to do other work besides main job. And like previous posts, you must be liked and kiss ass or you're out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide better training. Get rid of the toads that delegate tasks way too much for one person to handle. Managers should check more often on the welfare of interns instead of just focusing on their own team.

Not Original WW Employee? Then Forget Advancement!

    I worked at Wonderware

    Pros

Nice facilities. Free food. The job was good at first except the training was minimal. The product is good quality, yet has many competitors who do a better QA job. QA and other groups have great people, yet the management at WW is awful.

    Cons

As a previous Review stated, if you are not a part of the cool kids club you had better forget having a pleasant work environment. Oh, and never piss off any of the original WW employees. They are like a vicious wolf pack protecting their cub. They will do anything to protect what they believe is theirs. The arrogance of the management is sad.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shape up and quit believing that you are Bill Gates because you are not. You do not possess the style or intuition to have an attitude. Something that WW management forgets is when you are Management, act upfront, be kind, be respecful, treat employees as you would want to be treated. This is Kindergarten 101, yet seems to have passed by any management employed before 2007.
