I have been working at WorkForce Software full-time (less than a year)

Pros

Absolutely amazing company culture. You can wear shorts and flip flops to work, have nerf gun wars, make fun of your boss (joking of course).
The employees there are very smart, extremely helpful, generally enjoy what they do, and fun to talk to and have random conversations with
Non-corporate structure means your boss gives you priority of what needs to be done before a release, but does not micro manage anything. You have the freedom to do whatever you want to improve the software or development process as long as you can convince your boss it is a worthwhile investment. Your boss is not your drill sergeant, he's more like a resource to make sure you have what you need to be productive.
The compensation is phenomenal, and very fair.
Company is growing EXTREMELY fast, and the only place to go is up
Working from home is acceptable if there is a decent reason

Cons

There are absolutely no cons except how difficult it is to secure this job. You have to be extremely intelligent, dedicated, and passionate about what you do.

Very poor, inexperienced management, no opportunity to advance

    Pros

The company is growing rapidly, but they are putting people in management who have no leadership skills and make terrible, irrational decisions. The CEO genuinely seems to care about his employees. Overall company training is good; specific job training is extremely poor.

    Cons

Some people are put into management with no leadership skills or experience. There are some truly bad apples who demoralize their employees and give no support or real guidance to their team. An environment of mistrust is prevalent. In my 15 year career I've never had such a horrible, irrational manager. HR staff is overworked and provide no help in assisting employees in bad situations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't put people in management just because they are already there and you are hiring more staff. Ask yourselves if that person really has what it takes to be a good manager.

    Pros

Job stability is #1 benefit. WorkForce has most configurable technology in the market and focuses on delivering top-notch customer service. Most likely the reason they are steadily growing, it’s a great working environment.

    Cons

With 250 employees WorkForce is still small, if you prefer a large company this could be a con. But not in my book.
