CCMM - Celite College of Micro-Management

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Lompoc, CA

ProsIt is in California but Lompoc is not the California shown in tourist commercials. The minerals mined and the processes to get them to market are interesting.

The work force has a very strong work ethic and most individuals are very dedicated to making an under funded and under capitalized plant run.

ConsA photo of the General Manager can be found in the dictionary under M for micro-management. Most long term employees are tied to the area with few options in other local industries and Celite is very aware of the situation and take full advantage of the work force. If you are willing to suffer through a career in order to stay in Lompoc or California, this is the employer for you.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive a world class company controlling interest, become a minority partner, step aside and see how it can be done successfully while raising the moral of the entire employee population.
