I worked at World Vision full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Work life balance is fairly good. They invest in training for employees hence great for development. Small teams hence greater cohesion and teamwork. Good leave options and a good working environment.

Cons

Sometimes the culture that's rooted in Faith/religious beliefs can be used negatively to sweep discontent under the rug.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is a good place to work. Grant avenues for the staff voice to be heard.

I worked at World Vision as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Working with people from different communities to benefit the needs of kids in impoverished conditions while working on the introductory videos has been on the greatest lessons had.
The core values by which the company lives by can be seen in their efforts to help out the communities.

    Cons

the lack of internal communication while actually traveling between communities was extremely poor.
the feedback received by head quarters was always late, but always expected results promptly, regardless of the difficulties, such as infrastructure.
payments where always within months after delivering product.

Work on internal communication to allow flow of information
