I have been working at WorldStrides

    Pros

    - Truly helping students through the exposure to WorldStrides programs
    - Relaxed work environment; informal attire, and access to Senior Management
    - Very broad operation. It's an excellent opportunity to learn if you're just starting a career; good opportunity to enhance skills if you're a career veteran
    - You don't get lost in the shuffle; you're not a number

    Cons

    - The building layout or workspace sometimes increases the difficulty in working interdepartmentally
    - Very few locals know who WorldStrides is or what we do

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Continue the progress you're making in diversifying leadership
    - Continue finding good people who are passionate about our mission and equally passionate about the WorldStrides team

    I worked at WorldStrides

    Pros

The trips you could earn were fun, but you had to go with kids...lots of them. It was nice to work from home. Casual attire. People were typically nice. The summers are really slow, and nice time to chill and take time off. No time off mid August till end of November, then again mid Jan till Jun.

    Cons

Pay is set us as a draw, so you could end up owing them money if you don't meet your commissions. The goals that they set were unrealistic for peoples first year. $500,000 in sales is not attainable, of about 10 people that started around the same time, no one made it, highest was $350,000 I believe.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The training that they were starting to provide was a step in the right direction. The goals were not attainable, and frustrated people.
