Pros

You gain confidence in speaking and meeting with higher-ups. You push through this job and you will appreciate your next work atmosphere exponentially more than you could ever expect.

Cons

Besides the lack of stimulation in the nature of the work....Negatives include: pay, workplace environment, complete isolation from coworkers, intimidation, no work/life balance, and generally unprofessional treatment from management (overall). This is a turn and burn sales team looking to work the next group of college graduates until they break and build up their in-house accounts. Also, plenty of hostile environment sexual harassment to go around, ladies! They try to pry into your personal life asking very personal questions and making inappropriate comments (this is them trying to make you a better sales person, okay). This is not only my experience in this office. They do not value you trying to be a good person but want another sexual selling object. If you're a male being hired on to the sales team maybe it's not so bad as far as the "person they try to mold you into"..?

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change everything you are doing, you must be delusional to think a woman (with a good amount of respect for herself and others) would want to keep sacrificing her life to people who treat them in such a manor. When someone resigns, take it like a professional. I am not speaking for other offices in this review because I imagine it is (slightly to considerably) different for each.

    Pros

Company culture is that of a young, work hard-play hard crowd. Everyone in the company goes through the same trainings, and works through the ranks.

On of my favorite things is that every day is different with this job. One day you will be knocking on business doors to find prospects, the next you will be holding business meetings with CEO's and business owners (tell that to your newly graduated peers at your 5-year reunions and you are sure to impress!). With this career, you not only have room to improve yourself through excellent sales trainings and independent research, but you get to work within two niche areas of the industry and ultimately improve efficiency in businesses. This company gives you the opportunity to expand skill-set and knowledge of small-to-medium sized businesses by targeting what is a central factor of many businesses: logistics. People ask me all the time where I learned so much about business and the way businesses work...they are shocked when I tell them it is from an outside sales position.

    Cons

This job is not for the easy or weak-minded. You endure long days, you must have the ability to overcome objections without becoming defeated, and you are constantly under a lot of pressure to do well against "competition" within the company (all of which you are well compensated for eventually)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to bring well-constructed trainings to the table. They are incredibly helpful to shed light on how other reps, managers, and account managers target their particular markets.
