Wyeth – “Failing”

Pros

A big Global company with lots of room to go up the tree. The salaries levels are good in the market. They are good at developing drugs that work and everyones main focus is on this area.

Cons

The Senior Management are very poor, with dictats that are sent but not implemented. Wyeth are the type of company to spend millions on consultants either in a strategic basis or operationally. Not that it matters as the strategic work will not be implemented and the operational work will never be managed properly. There is not enough real work in most departments and a lot of paid attendance. Management throughout the organisation are poor with lack of clearly defined and measured objectives.

Advice to Senior Management

Work out where you want to be, aim for it and don't change that path every 5 minutes. Give staff some empowerment and get better managers
