Pros

great brand, Great people, great guests when the correctly targeted ones are staying

Cons

hours but it comes with the industry, takes a person with thick skin to work the front desk

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not promise an incentive program and not pay out, do not use favoritism for hiring from within, Lots of politics and job guarding. shameful

I worked at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Met some wonderful people made some life long friends

    Cons

Wyndham do not practice what they preach to staff for eg,count on me always go the extra mile ,they use you until they decide to get rid of you because they can employee someone to do the job cheaper, they put a lot of stress on there housekeepers to have rooms cleaned spotless in unrealistic time frames, they make threats to staff that they will get rid of them if they are not effiecient enough !

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management need to learn some people skills, the company needs to recognise there hard workers, especially housekeeping, sales departments are always praised for there efforts and are always rewarded ,they would have nothing to sell if it wasn't for the hard work of the housekeepers who are never recognised or thanked by upper management ,a very one sided company !!!
