Former Employee - Sales Representative in Daytona Beach, FL

I worked at Wyndham Vacation full-time (more than an year)

Pros

They have great medical, dental and vision benefits. Resorts are in beautiful locations. You can get some unbelievable pay checks.

Cons

Constantly trying to re-invent the wheel. Very tough product to sell on a consistent basis if you have ethics. Not too difficult if you don't. Management is not good at keeping their word.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pick a direction and go with it. It's ok to tweak things here and there, but sweeping change on a consistent basis is tough to deal with. Qualify your tours more efficiently, and hold those that book them accountable to those standards. You have a good product for the right person. You don't have to lie or go into "the gray area" to sell this.

    Pros

Great working conditions. Quality employees. Best benefit package.

    Cons

Unrealistic metrics for Quality does not separate Owner's dissatisfaction with Wyndham Timeshare from the booking agent. This can ruin your commission for the month. Pay is extremely low 12.00 dollars per hour, even with 20 years experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't advise recruits they can shift bid after six months. We couldn't bid until 6 months from phone start date...which was nine months.
