Pros

It is a large company with room for advancement at lower levels and you can gain experience in the hotel industry. Benefits (health insurance 401k) are comparable with other similarly situated companies and the pay scale is anot awful. Other workers are generally supportive of each other. Home office employees are moving into a new very nice building as of March, 2009.

Cons

You never really get ahead. When they decide you have been there too long and you make too much money you get downsized. Incompetent senior managers often keep their jobs by political infighting having nothing to do with their skills. People steal your ideas and get ahead with them by taking credit for them. People who have no idea what they are doing often end up making bad management decisions. The company and the industry are headed down the tubes for quite some time so there is little hope for long term financial growth. The best people have already quit or been fired so you are now dealing with the B or C team both in senior and middle management.. This company's best days have passed them by. look elsewhere for real opportunity.

Advice to Senior Management

Resign and hand over the reigns to people who are competent and fair to longstanding experienced middle managers who actually run the company
