It can be a good flexible job for a family.

Cons

Not enough room for growth.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are still some good hard working people at XO, however XO needs to identify those people and take care of them!! And hire more people to run the IP Network!

I have been working at XO Communications full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility in work schedule and teleworking arrangements. I have the opportunity to work at home as often as I'd like and this is rare in the workplace.

    Cons

No clear path for career growth unless you're in sales. My current position really offers to no real promotion opportunities.

I worked at XO Communications full-time

    Pros

Worked with many good folks dedicated to XO. Even though the work environment is stressful the people make it bearable. Compensation was okay and training was available but management did not always promote training as much as they could have.

    Cons

High Stress and pressure, not a great culture, poor benefits. Executive management does not value the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be change agents for culture and value the employees. Improve benefits.
