I worked at Xerox full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Good people who work hard at a company that has almost always been on the leading edge of technology.

Cons

Some senior management decisions were not in the best interest of the company or its employees. Letting Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniac into PARC is one that stands out.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget that the best advice seldom comes from the top down, but it is actually the other way around.

    training sometimes. not much else

    Cons

    Xerox is more concerned with xerox than it is with its customers. They have an awful service call center overseas that all our customers complain about. Instead of fixing the problem they have their service reps try to talk the customers into giving them a good survey. The R&D department has been shut down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    stop hiding in your office and go meet your customers !!!
    compensate the people who talk face to face with your customers or they wont be YOUR customers for much longer. stop making xerox such a controlling and difficult company to work for.
    ceo went from 9.9mil in 2009 to 10.6mil in 2010, yet i havent had a raise in 3yrs.
