I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Smart, hard-working people in the trenches; flexible work schedules

    Cons

There are no incentives to work harder or give more -- no pay raise in 5 years (just a pay cut), no bonuses, no 401k match, no money for any "fun." Little or no training for new employees. Micro-management is bogging things down, requiring multiple levels of approval for everything. Staff working 80 hours a week to keep up because people get fed up and quit and their work gets distributed among those who are left.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have amazing people working for you, but you will lose them all if you don't realize what you've got and make some changes in order to keep them. Your employees do not feel valued.

I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some workday freedom. Nothing else, at all.

    Cons

    Numbers are outrageously unachievable.

We have a real Xerox technician in our area who does nothing. He has family in nearby management so he sits in "unlisted call" all day and fabricates calls from the DSD.

Horrible pay. $15.60/hr for a a job that requires an immense amount of social and technical skill. I wonder how much the temp agency is making off me doing real technician level of work.

They are now training contractors on production level equipment instead of bringing them on salary. Why do we even have real Xerox technicians anymore were doing their work for low wages and no benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I'm thinking about opting out of this position to work in a restaurant. For the amount of stress and skill required to do this job Id take a 3 dollar pay cut just to cook steaks. Seriously, stop screwing contractors and then measuring them by your Xsentive payouts. Which we don't receive...
