Former Employee - Account Manager in Kansas City, KS
Former Employee - Account Manager in Kansas City, KS

I worked at Xerox full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Focus on continuous improvement and increased productivity.

Cons

Too much reorganization activity year after year. Do your best to get it right. Expanding upper management one year, downsizing the next - then repeat? Stop the madness.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lots of talent in Managed Services - should consider making these resources the Sales Lead in the accounts and train them same as you do field sales. Wasted resources.

Current Employee - Territory Sales Manager in Phoenix, AZ

I have been working at Xerox full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Extremely detailed and focused sales education; substantial investment in employees, world-renowned sales training; hands on leadership.

    Cons

Low salaries affected employee retention ... they were superbly trained at Xerox but then lured away by other companies offering better compensation -- and were able to due to the fact they didn't have to invest in the candidate's sales training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A bit less time, effort, and expense on training ... put that toward salaries to retain employees. Focus on all race, color, ethnicity and cultural background of ALL employees ... not just minorities.
