I worked at Xilinx as an intern for less than a year

Pros

Very high tech environment with lots of smart coworkers. Open Source tools and Linux workstations are also allowed! The work environment felt productive, fun, and collaborative. They have a great selection of food in their cafe.

Cons

The complexity and learning curve for some of the ISE tools was pretty steep starting out. In my brief time there, I had enough time to learn just the basics.

I have been working at Xilinx full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Work Life balance has always been a Pro at Xilinx. Employees treat each other with respect. Compensation and benefits are ok.

    Cons

The focal reviews that take place every six months create unnecessary sense of competition that ends up working against teamwork and culture. There is also no focus on employee career development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
