Hard for ground work engineer to work as politic between groups cause ppl very protective and dare not to help each others.
Hard to accept ideas. only idea from TOP is good.

    Pros

None worth mentioning. Just great disappointment.

    Cons

Managers are not proactive to changes. Disappointed that Xilinx being MNC firm do not have any standard supply chain process in place. Supply chain is dynamic & whatever process Xilinx currently have as standard very manual, inefficient & laborious. Managers who have direct responsibilities towards the supply chain scopes in Xilinx either do not have relevant experience or zero knowledge of what supply chain is all about. Subordinates are passionate & proactive on driving system enhancement as compared to managers who are passive & keep giving excuses like "mirror image from San Jose" or "changes in Xilinx won't happen fast" etc. Typical downfall situation of any big US MNC com in SGP being managed by local management who are not open minded but very narrow minded & style of managing very micro manage & not creative.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When turnover rate is high, the probability is more towards management/manager leadership. If a subordinate has more knowledge & able to take on scopes of what a manager should be doing or can do, what does that say about the qualities of this manager & big question what is the purpose of retaining them? Changes need to take place from top down & drive for improvements fast & swift. No point telling subordinates we need changes & getting them to provide ideas or brainstorming when all is talk & no action.
