I have been working at Xilinx part-time for less than a year

Pros

People here are real engineers. They know the stuff and do things carefully. and do their best.

Cons

I have never worked at other companies. But I don't see obvious Cons here at Xilinx.

Xilinx is a great place to work, but slow for personal growth and development.

I have been working at Xilinx full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Fast pace environment in IT and we're always overloaded with work, but Xilinx does recognize its good performers versus bad ones. Review periods are more focused on pay for performance.

    Cons

Leadership is lacking in IT department. There's a divide between the few IT departments that make it difficult to be cross functional and efficient, upper management hasn't changed in 14+ years, everything seems slow paced and stale, no room for personal growth but great company if you plan on doing the same thing for the next 20 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give incentives to keep the good talent around, or else they will all leave for better things.
