- Directors given significant responsibilities from the start - staff management, budget management, customer service experience, program planning, etc.

Cons

Unless your supervisor is looking to advance, there is little room to move up unless you move YMCAs.

Listen. Give feedback. Show appreciation and recognition for hard work. Encourage and mentor employees who want to advance.
