It was an enjoyable experience but the break down in communication amongst the higher ups often caused unneeded stress.

I worked at YMCA full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Staff was engaging and truly wanted to be there, flexible hours, decent pay, understanding supervisors who love their job, training was very through and prepared you well

Cons

Definit break down in communication between supervisors and staff, expectations unclear, disorganized. There were a few employees that should have been better screened. The job was pertaining to children and I do not believe that all the staff were appropriate people to look up to.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be more direct meetings between the staff and the higher ups. Often times there was conflict that was not needed and could have been avoided if the proper steps had been taking.
