    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Express concerns early, the management is happy to assist with issues but needs to be made aware of issues before they snowball.

I have been working at YMCA part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I started working at the YMCA 3 years ago and because I travel I have been apart of 4 YMCA's. It is the best job ever. You get free gym membership and free classes, and the community is awesome. I move almost every single year and just transfer to new Y's and its so easy to land a job with past experience. I plan on keeping it this way. I started as a lifeguard and fell in love and am now working on becoming a personal trainer.

    Cons

Pay varies throughout different cities. Also depending on the city and the area, it can dramatically change the environment. I have work at some of the best Y's in the country and some of the worst. You can't get overtime because its a non profit organization, it sucks, but you get over it.
