  1. If you work as a lifeguard, work at a larger YMCA so that you can avoid 2 hour shifts that pay minimum wage

    I worked at YMCA part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free YMCA membership, you can literally work one shift a week just for free membership if you want

    Cons

    The pay is minimum wage starting usually. You'll have to clean kid's poop out of the pool. Sometimes it can get really boring.

    Advice to Management

    Allow for longer shifts for lifeguards who are working in smaller pools.
