    Positive Outlook

I worked at YMCA as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Buttoned up leadership. Clear strategic plan well-communicated to organization. Regular team events and meetings to keep morale up. Employees look to support one another.

    Cons

Can be resistant to new ways of doing things as most of staff spent most/all of career within organization. Management agenda can be overly ambitious. Some sacred cows deep within culture make it harder to some positive change.

    Advice to Management

Identify fewer top priorities and get those done well. Stay open-minded to new approaches.
