Current Employee - Manager, Digital Operations in Glendale, CA
Current Employee - Manager, Digital Operations in Glendale, CA

I have been working at YP full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Even entry level employees seem to make decent pay. Flexible hours.

Cons

Poorly managed products with a lack of direction. If you get hired at a certain salary, you stay in that range for a long time. Not a lot of opportunity for promotion. Lazy co-workers.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try harder, or find people who actually try. Or just leave so that people who care about their jobs can take your place.

I have been working at YP full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    -potential for good pay
    -quarterly trips for top performers

    Cons

-products are a joke-all SEM is implemented by vendors with no accountability, websites are horrendous, SEO is the worst I've seen (also vendor).
-management is unhelpful with customer care...most likely because there is no point in addressing an issue...nothing will come of it. Problems are tossed around between fifty people before it eventually falls into a black hole.
    -Micromanagement galore
-Told to "sell sell sell" and forget about clients who you have sold to and want to take care of. In other words your compensation is focused on new sales and not on taking care of your book of business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Bring vendor products in house
