I worked at YP full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

amazing pay on new sales , and casual dress in call center environment, the pay structure is very good in the sense that they do pay you what they say they do.

    Cons

highly stressed you are assigned multiple canvasses and are expected to be finished at an unrealistic time table. cold calling is tough especially when everyone in your building and in other states is calling same pool of people . Also You only receive a paycheck worth mentioning when you sell new business, and the new sales only come few and far in between , and if you don't make enough sales you are constantly reminded of your failure, and that your job is in jeopardy also attendance and tardy policy is very unrealistic a 2 year probation period on any attendance issues or tardiness. there are only a few employees that have been there over a year , people leave and get fired so quickly they always have a training class coming in every week , showing that they know how bad their turnover is.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

realize that constant stress is not a good thing in a call center especially in a sales environment that demands so much . professionalism and a bit of humanity is needed when dealing with humans not just sales machines

I have been working at YP full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great people, flexible schedules, excellent benefits.

    Cons

Systems developed by AMDOCS constantly breakdown, senior leaders approve the implementation of new systems, processes and procedures with little testing and before being ready for implementation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Systems need to be rebuilt from the ground up - no more patchwork. This will increase efficiency, throughput, and customer satisfaction.

Before making decisions on new products, processes or procedures, ask "How is this going to help our customers?" Involve first and second line managers who are closer to knowing what is really going on before implementing anything new.

Communicate more effectively. New products are developed, implemented, and sold by sales representatives before the publishing groups are informed about them.
