Current Employee - Dock Only in Gardena, CA

I have been working at YRC Freight full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good money & benefits until the layoff hit.

    Cons

Layoff on call status for dock work is terrible.
Yellow Freight & Roadway Express Merged together and then caused thousands of teamsters to be laid off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Step #1...If you want to make money, you have to spend money!
Make a commercial for television viewers to see what your company is all about.
The reason for company failure,is the management running the company from the supervisors all the way up to the big shots that are making in excess of $110.000.00 a year.
If they were to take a 15% cut in their pay like all the teamsters did for the company, then recall all the people back off from layoff.
    Step#2... See step #1
